Our research focuses on three main areas:
- Families and Digital Media. We use creative and family-centered approaches to understand how parents and young children use media, and how this relates to well-being and social-emotional development.
- Evaluating Children's Digital Environments. We study the tech products that children use the most - from app stores to mobile games to YouTube - to help clarify when digital designs aren't matched well with kids' needs.
- Improving Systems of Care for Children with Developmental and Behavioral Needs. Finding help to understand a child's struggles can be challenging. Our clinical research aims to embed DBP support within primary care, to help with early identification of autism and school difficulties. We partner with communities and agencies to make sure we are creating a better, easier-to-navigate system of care.
